Well, today I learned that my only blood sister, Patti Henze Schmidt, who lived in Corpus Christi, died in January of last year. I was a happenchance comment I made to my niece, her daughter, that caused her to send me an email to let me know. I have wondered about her. I used to call her regularly, but she never called me back, and I decided to not bother her any longer. We and I shared the same Dad, whom our mother abandoned way back in 1946. I am sad, but there are no tears, yet. How sad that a family has to be so split up because one of them just doesnt think about, or believe in, the same things politically and spiritually. I was independent - and I guess leaving me alone is my familys way of letting me be independent. There may be a cousin or two left, but otherwise, I am the last of the Henze family (my maiden name).
