Well, today I spoke with the Prosecutors office at length. To make it short and sweet, they do not feel that the evidence is strong enough to get a Grand Jury Indictment at this time. Needless to say, I am crushed. I should clarify that he will be going to jail for some time. I will still follow the case through. I am hoping the prosecutor will get the Judge to approve my making a Victims Impact Statement at his sentencing. They did say that the only reason he is currently in jail facing all these trafficking charges is because of my perseverance. I will try contacting the FBI field office to see if there are any cameras in the area where the sale took place that can be added into evidence. The reason the text messages are not enough is that the conversation did not directly refer to heroin and an offer to sell was not stated. Everybody knows what happened and the prosecutor will go for the longest and most severe sentence as afforded by the law.
