Well today I went to the cemetery to feel closer to my mom today and also to visit with my Nanny who basically is like my 2nd mother. She has always treated us like a mother even when my mom was living and even more now that she has passed. So many things she says reminds me of Mommy and that I also see in myself. My ex-husband used to say I was 1/2 Linda and 1/2 Aileen and he would from time to time call me AlLinda. Lol. I used to think I was nothing like either of them but the older I get the more I see AlLinda in me. Lol. When I leave Nanny I feel bad because the sad thing is she gets excitement just for someone to visit her. It is sad how when we get older we get lonely. As you get old you see so many sad things. Most of the people you love and care about come and go and your highlight of your day is just to hear a grandchild or child phone you. If you have a grandmother or grandpa living make an effort to call Everyday to let them know you love them. We all think we are promised tomorrow but it may never come.
