Well today feels a good day to share the incredible news that Im going to be a Dad!! Kat and I are expecting a little girl in early March 2015. From March I will also be taking the rest of the year off long haul touring and wanted to explain why. After 10 years of fairly relentless (and fantastic) traveling, next year I want to stay close to home to be a husband + father, rather than 5000 miles away hoping the hotel wi-fi is fast enough to FaceTime my family that day! As were currently living in LA, US/Canada shows wont be affected, as I can be back home by midday the next day, but everywhere else: I am sorry, but I wont be playing for you in 2015. Before stopping travel, I will be making one trip to Europe in February for an all-night set in Manchester (my only UK show of the year), plus ASOT in NL and some other festivals, but after that I shall be on Daddy duties! However, the other benefit to being at home is having a LOT more studio time. So I am going to use 2015 to finish Album 3 (which is already half written) and Im excited for the challenge of making it the best music I have ever written. So whilst I feel sad to know I am going to miss out on a lot of my favourite places and faces, I am also very excited for the coming year and I hope you understand the reasons behind me taking some time off. And rest assured, once 2016 lands, Ill be back with a proper global tour, hitting as many places as possible armed with a lot of new music, and well make it for it properly. Have a great day, Gaz xx
