Well today has been a complete let down of nhs absolute broken with how we have been treated today firstly not needing a cannula so soohie was worked up for sod all secondly wrong mri time and the biggest of all oh your chemo is ready lets get it done get Sophie home for Christmas !! Well u will all remember last week Sophie went for a Gfr test to see if the new chemo was damaging her kidneys further ? Well they were just about to give Sophies chemo I said so sophies Gfr test from last week is ok then I take the nurses replies with this chemo its not protocol to check the result so I say well it must be the Gfr test is to tell us if the chemo can be used further do off she goes doctor called comes back and says oh yes this chemo defo cant be used the results are showing further damage if they gave that chemo Sophies kidney damage couldnt be reversed!!! So we cant give her it do its a bloody good job I asked to think its not protocol to check results Jesus ! So today if I didnt ask Sophie would prb ended up needing a kidney transplant or dialysis because its not protocol !! So mad gutted! So only two of the three chemos given today and now wait for Sophies doctor to look for a alternative if there is one !! Mri went as well as it could results in new year !!
