Well today has been a roller coaster of emotions over our little hummingbirds! Started out enjoying watching them in a feeding frenzy while enjoying my coffee on the porch then when I was sitting at the computer downloading some pictures I took I heard a thud! Looked out and apparently two hummingbirds had collided on the front deck! Rushed out to find one had died instantly but the other was still breathing so I went in to get a little sugar water to see if that would revive it and while I was taking care of it another hummingbird flew into a window, obviously it was hurt with blood coming out of its beak, but I tried to give it some sugar water and it tried to drink it, but just didnt make it. The other one was still moving so I tried to pick it up and it took off flying! Had to bury the other two before I could get back to looking at the pictures and videos I took this morning. I did take pictures of the two that died so Don could use the coloring when he gets around to carving some hummingbirds. Here is one of the videos from this morning.
