Well today i went for a mooch up Capelcleugh lead mine with a few others,should have been a great day and was to a certain extent. Waist deep in water then neck deep not a problem until i seen the foot gap between water level and mine roof.All i had was flash backs to the days at Consett swimming baths and having my head pushed under by the infamous Miss Mountain and spending the next hour coughing water out my lungs. What started as a good day ended up with me backing out while the rest pushed on and good luck to them. What i find funny is that after thirty odd years her technique still affects me as ive found out today. I wonder how many more people her legacy still affects...
