Well today is Wednesday and I am still admitted in the Carbondale hospital. The day started off rough but it started get a little better. I woke up and even thru the night I was having stomach pains. Even if I drank a sip of something. The pains on a scale of 1-10 were anywhere from a 5-7. So I had to take pain meds which I dont like to do due to slowing my stomach down. Which is an issue Im having already. Also the past few days I just dont feel like myself. My energy level and my spunk just have not been there. Which I hate that. I love the fact Im busy. So today after a few rounds of pain meds I started to feel a little better. I only ate a few bites of breakfast. Like half of a half of a biscuit with gravy. Then at lunch I was able to eat a little more. So I was excited. By no means am I saying I ate a lot or anything to brag about but each additional bite is a step. Its been weeks since Ive been able to eat right. So I take what I get. So today a new doctor came and took over my care. Just due to doctor switching shifts. I really liked the doctor she was very nice. Her game plan is .... She is switching all my pain meds to oral and she also switched my antibiotics over to oral. She wants to make sure we can get my stomach to handle everything by mouth. She also drew my blood cultures again today. She wants to make sure nothing else pops up or is not being treated by the meds that I am on. If I can handle everything by mouth the rest of the day and night I should get to break out tomorrow. So I will pray for this and I ask you all to pray for this also. I am ready to go home and be home longer than a week. Im ready to get my boys school supplies and back to school stuff! Im ready to be Tara again and have my energy back and be fun, loving and ready to go! I have complete faith I will get it back. My poor body has been thru so much since May so I know it will take time but Im ready to build it back. Love, Tara
