Well today was a first! As most of you know I teach the Autism self-contained class which means there is not much interaction with the general population of students (normally we get out for lunch and related arts). Two sixth grade girls came to my room at the end of the day and said are you Mrs. McCarthy? I politely said yes I am! They followed with a question I wouldnt expect from kiddos that Ive never met or seen before....they asked do you have alpacas?! Apparently one of their godparents and one of the kiddos lives down my road and have seen us start our farm!! They asked if they could meet the alpacas and see the farm. I said they would probably see me walking my dogs down the road and one girl said oh yea! Ive seen you walk your dogs too! Good God. I have to make sure I dont walk the dogs in my pajamas! I never thought some kiddos that go to the school I teach at would live down my road. Haha. This just made my day
