Well today was a special day for me.... I met Richard - TopicsExpress

Well today was a special day for me.... I met Richard Arinaitwe!!!!! Yes!!! the most famous Richard Arinaitwe arguably Ugandas most feared prisoner of all time!!! I was in High Court Criminal Division in court hall No. 6 with him!!! Any descriptions? dont mind I will give you.......he bore a gangly look, a well muscled up body build and a small tattoo on his neck. He was like a beast with an incredulous character and an insatiable appetite to eliminate any living thing going by his stare. He had a silver chain on his neck and two silver chains on his hands with an incredible American limp/bounce off the ground.....he kept on muttering words like as if he was miming to one of 2Pac Shakurs Old School Songs. He had swagg!! yes i saw it!!! There were over 20!!, yes 20 prison warders in the court hall just because of him..... There were 5 prison pickup trucks, 3 Anti-terrorism response trucks and 3 prison busses in the courtyard with over 60 prison warders and well equipped Anti-terrorism police officers manning the courts perimeters just in case... One thing I noticed is that he is such a special prisoner...... When he stood to go to the dock, 8 Prison Warders surrounded the dock and guess what the dude just kept smiling, twisting his neck and clutching his fists as if he was jostling for a Kick boxing fight. He kept on peeping outside, a thing that got me thinking the son of God had come with Plan B. I need not tell you, you know what it is!! The judge took this into consideration in re-sentencing and stated that going by the number of warders that were keeping guard, the convict was dangerous to society!!!! Did you hear that, dangerous to society!!! Memories of him(Richard) jumping from the dock to strangle Justice Alivdsa are still fresh and the presiding judge took notice of this too!!! The Learned Justice of the High Court kept stammering while delivering his judgement, I guess we put blame on the pressure and fear, never did the judge overly look him in the eyes!!! To me that was expected. I was equally scared to the pulp and had my exit plan well cut out!!! I have no kid, who am I to die in his arms!!! shaaaa Richard Arinaintwes Counsel my colleague Micheal Akampurira however succeeded in having his death sentence reduced to life in prison!!! Kudos. It was fun...I dont have to tell you how he was led out of the Court Hall and how he almost pounced on some chics who were incessantly taking his photos. Respect to Uganda Prisons guards on duty today!! You did a great job. Thank you so much.
