Well today was very interesting! We had a lot of unexpected problems including several power cuts which shut down the session completely for quite a while -remember we have a tight schedule to get it all done -there is no room for wasted time or lost time. We didnt have time to make a video of the recording but I made a little one in the morning before we started and then another showing you the nerve central of the operation. The harpsichord was tuned continually and we had to stop a couple times for planes and trucks. The Gordan Jacob CD was much worse as the church, St Judes is on the flight path for Heathrow and add to that, the local council decided to dig up the sidewalk with big hammer drills! So there is always something and you just have to adjust, keep your mind on the work even when you just want to play but cant and stay as calm as you can! But its all going to be worth it and the recording is going very well - everyone is very pleased! Hopefully tomorrow will go better and we can show you a little more.
