Well, today we did what Californians do when visiting the Oregon - TopicsExpress

Well, today we did what Californians do when visiting the Oregon coast...we went shopping. Lincoln City has an extensive outlet mall. Between the already low outlet prices and the fact that Oregon has no sales tax, this means that we spend at least part of the week stuffing the trunk of the car with bargains. My big score today was a beautiful sweater from the Coldwater Creek outlet, which is on its final day of going out of business. $5, and its something Ill wear again and again. Lest you wonder what Oregonians do when they come to California, wonder no longer. They buy liquor. Because we dont have state liquor stores, and because we allow liquor stores to compete for pricing, liquor in California is a good $10 to $20 cheaper per bottle than it is in Oregon. Its a nice arrangement that works well for both sides. Tonight were making dinner for Tonys mom and possibly for a few guests. Tonys reprising his wonderful Sriracha Pasta Bake, and Im making my fresh broccoli salad. A couple of the people who may be coming supposedly hate vegetarian food, so well see.
