Well today would have been my dads 63rd birthday. It is hard to believe that in April it will be 8yrs since he died of a heart attack. Did a lot of reflecting today. Remembering the talks we shared from sports, to life, to the bible. I am so thankful to God for having him as my dad. The biggest thing is the hope & assurance that I know I will see him again. That is the greatest joy God gives to those who repent & follow Him. To see him again, whole with no more injuries or restrictions. My dad lived by Gods grace to walk, because he nearly broke his back in his 30s. My dad served in ministry & taught me the same. I remember when I was talking with Alicia after he died. She was sad she hardly got to know him. I told her that the more she would get to know me she would get to know who my dad was, because I was a reflection of who he was. Every January 15th & April 14th & Fathers Day, I pause to reflect about his life. See you in Heaven if not before was something he would always say.
