Well, tomorrow’s another day. This seems to be National Funeral Home Week. We have been three times so far this week for our friends. We will be attending one more tonight and then one tomorrow morning for our best friend, Stephen’s, brother in Lincolnton. I suppose I am now at the age to expect more of these events. We attended a service last night for good friend, Frank Glinski. Frank was a month older than I. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was one of the most generous people I have ever known. He even volunteered to dress up in a big bear costume to portray “Time Out Teddy” for our Exchange Club fundraiser to bring attention to the scourge of child abuse. I remember riding in his Bentley one time to go buy some golf shirts and commented on how smooth the ride was in that luxury automobile. Frank knew I was getting one of my dents fixed on my van that week and he tried his best to get me to borrow his Rolls while my car was in the shop. Can you imagine, me, driving around in a Rolls Royce? I don’t think Frank had a pretentious bone in his body. Frank and I e-mailed each other daily about the things that are going on in our nation’s capital. He was a man of conviction and an astute businessman. We surely could have used him in Washington. You know, lots of the politicians up there remind me of a banana. When they arrive there, they’re green, then they turn yellow, and then they’re just rotten. Frank loved good clean jokes and would have loved that! He was a down-to-earth, good, honest man that will be missed by all of us who knew him, prayers for Donita and the entire family. Personally, I think Congressmen and Congresswomen should wear uniforms like the NASCAR drivers wear…you know, so we could identify their corporate sponsors. The main reason politicians try so hard to get re-elected is that they would hate to have to earn a living under the laws they passed. One of the first things a politician learns after being elected is: “It’s not whether you win or lose, but how you place the blame.” Some of those in high places have got that blaming thing down to a science. Well, I’m running late and better get ready to go to do my exercises at Planet Fitness. Marie and I agreed last night that we will be taking Monday off…praise the Lord. Have a good day and don’t forget to pray for those who have lost loved-ones. We are all in this world together…it’s good for us to share in laughter and it’s even better to share in one’s time of sorrow. God Bless!!
