Well tonight I feel good and yet I feel bad all at the same time. I just got back home and was lucky and unlucky on stand #8 late this afternoon. The eight point in the pitcher walked out and turned broad side to me and as I was looking through the scope I noticed the large six point that is pictured walked out right behind him. The eight was facing in one direction and the six was facing the opposite direction. I took the shot at the eight point and shot at the neck. When I shot both deer ran in opposite directions so after a few minutes I got down and walked to see if I could find blood. To my surprise when I got to the location where I shot at the eight point I did find blood and I looked to the left where the eight point ran and saw nothing but tracks where he was running and then I looked to the right and about 30 yards away I saw the sic point laying in the road. The bullet went threw the neck of the eight point and then hit the six point in the shoulder and went into the heart. There was no exit wound as the bullet was already tumbling when it struck the six point. I will post a picture of the bullet entrance hole in a few minutes and you will see how large the hole is and remember I shoot a 270. Chad and I looked for the eight point or over an hour and could not find him. I will be back and will look again in the AM and if I do not fine him to prove To myself and everyone else I will pay the club fine for shooting under eight points. Gee just my luck hit what I shoot at and hit two but the wrong one fell.
