Well, tonight was a first. I have been thrown out of a lot of places, but never the band section of a football game!! I went to the Northview game tonight to see the game and see the band. Once there I ran into Arnav Cherian and Amaan Charaniya who invited me into to band section to see former students. As I am walking around the bleachers in the band section speaking to old students I hear a voice on the loudspeaker saying, Who is that man in my band walk. I start looking around to see who she is talking about only to realize she is talking about me!!!!! The students start yelling Mr. Kirby quite loudly and she keeps saying who? who? (she obviously doesnt realize who I am even though I have chaperoned the 8th graders to band night the last FOUR YEARS)!!!! The students get louder and I wave at her and she says Either put on a uniform, pick up an instrument or LEAVE! I was mortified!! By this point people all over the stadium are looking at me and the band students are still yelling Its Mr. Kirby trying to let her know who I was. I quickly left the band section...never to return!!!
