Well, turns out that Fox News Anchor Shepard Smith is gay. Not a big deal. He wanted to come out and even took his partner of many years, Gio Graziano, to a Fox News company picnic. Big mistake. He was apparently trying to get Fox executives to simply recognize how unremarkable the relationship is. It didnt work. But what -is- a big deal, is that Fox News executives subsequently forbade him from coming out on the air, as he wanted: QUOTE: According to multiple sources with knowledge of the picnic, the most dramatic reaction came from Bill Shine, the channel’s Executive Vice President of Programming. Shine “flipped out,” one source said, after Smith introduced Graziano to attendees. (Within and outside of Fox, Shine, who is 50 and grew up on Long Island, carries a reputation for insensitivity toward gay people. “He’s a major, major homophobe,” a Fox insider said.) And then they moved Smith from the 7 pm to the 3 pm hour -- a clear demotion, despite being characterized by Fox as a promotion. There is less visibility at 3 pm than at 7 pm, you know. This (propaganda) network is a piece of work. But the word is out-- Shepard Smith is gay. Because Fox viewers dont watch any media except Fox News, most of their viewers still dont realize this. Its almost funny. And Fox wants to keep it that way, lest their outrage-stimulated audience gets worked up about this. Too bad. The faux-moral-outrage that would accompany a formal announcement, would serve to reveal and highlight how prejudicial Fox News really is. Fox News is the # 1 most-deceptive news media in the USA.
