Well we are finally back from the USA after a quite amazing week! Nightmare 36-hour journey home, but not enough to erase the fantastic time we have had! Our deepest thanks go out to everyone who has helped us make it possible - it may have taken 25 years, but we got there in the end! Number one thanks to Maz - who had the faith to give us a precious headline slot at NYC Popfest (as well as letting us loose on the afterparty decks as well!). Second to Paul, Alan and Patrick - Expert Alterations - for organisation, lending us their gear, playing three fantastic sets, driving us around, sharing expenses, and generally being fantastic people - we love you guys! Next to our friends who promoted the gigs, put us up, or just supported us by turning up at the gigs - Dave and Sasha in DC; Rebecca, Brad et al in Cambridge; Brian Turner of WFMU, for whom we played a live session on Saturday at the best record fair weve ever seen! Sarah for doing our merch at Popfest. Also all the other fantastic bands on the various bills we played - not time to list everyone but The Spook School; Heathers; The Haywains; My Favorite; Bart and Pam; The Popguns; Foul Swoops; Literature; Tender Vision; The Kitschenettes, as well as the aforementioned Expert Alterations all fall into this category. Also we found all the sound guys out there knew their stuff - especially the guy at The Knitting Factory (possibly Rob?). I expect I have forgotten many more but am very tired and off to bed now...
