Well we built a tent in the garage, and the kids loved it. Sharon gave us permission to leave it up over night, which is a big deal. You see she washed & waxed her car the other day (very independent…lol) and it was going to rain, everybody loves Grand Ma…lol They played so well, and quietly I had a lot of me time. I tried to finish a couple of poems I’ve been working on, but I kept thinking about old times. My wedding, working on the railroad, the birth of our children, huge list…lol Then I got stuck on advice I have received from Family & Friends some long gone now, but still advice I use today. I was and am so blessed to have people who cared about me and how I would grow up. My Mom once told me “people in pain really don’t need advice, they need love and compassion” she was right. I never realized what she meant until it happened to me years ago. Just being there for someone is enough, oh sure we all have a busy schedule and we have problems of our own, how long does it take to give someone a friendly ear, a hug, and shed a few tears for the cause? So many have been there for me I don’t think I’ll ever be able to pay back what’s owed… Someone told me there is too much drama on FB, yet they watch Jerry Springer (YUK!) I guess I don’t get it. When I’m down or Sharon’s down we drop everything, and do what it takes to help each other. She’s of course is better at it then me, she has such a soft and healing soul she always shares…. I’ll always share my love and will help anytime for you wonderful folks. All I ask is that you find time to do the same, even little things count in such a big way. You’re my Family and my Friends, and you’ll always matter a great deal, always!!! Have a great day, hugs….! LYM!
