Well we did it!!!! 22 horses pulled this week and all are safe!!! Most have left the kill pen. The black walker and the draft cross were picked up this morning, 4 STBs will be picked up tomorrow, the stud will be picked up on Sunday, the 2 pilot ponies will be traveling to Birch Hill on Sunday, and the 3 yr old QH filly on Monday! Each week I am amazed at the team work that takes place to make this happen. Most of us have never met or have ever even talked on the phone, yet, we all come together for a common cause and a common goal! When the last one is safe and the weight and stress from the week leaves, I sit here in awe about what transpired! As always, it takes a village, and this village, this group of people, are just truly amazing, each and everyone of you!!! Later today, Ashlyn and I will be travelling to Cindy Noll s to complete 4 riding evaluations on 4 slaughter bound horses that are now safe and homed! This is something we started doing recently at both Cindy and Nancy Diaz s. If you have pulled a horse and would like an eval done by a certified trainer while your horse is in QT, please contact me!
