Well, we laid our sweet momma to rest today. I rejoice that she is with Jesus. My wife asked me how I felt after the funeral, and I told her I had that same odd feeling a person has after finishing a really good book... That feeling when you turn the page, and there is no more writing. You always want more pages to read, but you know that everything has already been said. So I close this book, knowing that a glorious sequel is coming... a never ending story of love. Our stories will go on a little while, our books being written as we live... and for those who trust Christ and what He has accomplished, our stories will go on and become one with His story... the Greatest Story ever told. All the days of my life, I will look back fondly at the pages of Love written by Rita Barron. I am grateful I was able to narrate the last page as I preached today.
