Well we made it home from OHSU and finally got the drain pulled out and got the results from the biopsy. The surgeon said that even though they got all of the visible tumor/cancer, there was a pretty good chance that there were some microscopic cancer cells still in his body. They took 12 lymph nodes out and one of them tested positive. So it looks like we will have to do Chemo after all. Dr La Rochelle said that the cancer may be completely gone but if there is anything left, this is the best time to destroy it with the Chemo so that it wont show up in another area. We will be able to do it in Corvallis so we wont have weekly trips up to Portland....thats a good thing. He wants Duane to finish healing up from this surgery so the chemo will probably start in about a month or so. There are a lot of things we dont know but this one thing we do.....God is still in control and we can trust him. Thanks for all of your continued love and prayers.
