Well, we made it home with 4 new stitches and a new blanket from the great nurses in the E.D. At Sanford Worthington. They were great, and I have to say Dr Thomas was wonderful! He was kind and understanding, and dealt with Keagan wonderfully. Not that I ever want to visit the Emergency Department, but Id see Dr Thomas any day. Its not easy with our little puzzle piece. Keagan doesnt speak, autism is a creative adventure for kids all over the spectrum. So, when you tell your kids something it usually works, its always a little different for us, and for his care providers, he cant tell us what hurts or where it hurts. April 2nd is Autism Awareness day... We will do our part to let people know that autistic kids love the same, feel the same and hurt the same! Tonight we got to deal with great people who know that, soon we hopefully all will understand. Thanks also to Jason Turner at GuidePoint who was willing to run to the pharmacy if we needed to keep h comfortable with the pain. But no prescription needed and we are now home all sewn up! Thanks everyone for the thoughts!
