Well we wanted to let everyone know about our little Miss Emily this week. She was born Monday afternoon by c-section at 1:31pm. Both mommy and baby did great! She is very strong and even lifted her head as soon as she hit the nursery. Daddy couldnt keep his eyes off of her he was so proud. Everything was going well that we went home Wednesday afternoon. Thursday morning we went to see her pediatrician Dr. Jane Sadler for her first check up as some of you saw the picture of her wrapped in paper lol. Well it was time for her eat so I started breastfeeding her (gotta do what you gotta do lol). In that time I look down and her fingernails were purple. She had stopped breathing and had no heart rate. Dr Sadler started chest compressions and breathing and 911 was called. I couldnt be more thankful to be where we were when that happened. Dr Sadler did great!! She brought my baby girl back to life. I will be forever in her debt. We were rushed to Medical City Childrens where we still currently wait for test results. They did think she was dehydrated and her sodium was high. It has since lowered but they are still running labs every 6 hrs. Emily has done great while being here! Mommy and daddy are still nervous wrecks but Emily is a fighter. Everyone has said how strong she is already to lift her head and even pull to sit up. We are hoping to go home this afternoon with some results. Thank you to our family and friends for being here for us. We will keep everyone updated when we know something more.
