Well, what a night! Had a pretty good light show up until a bit after midnight and then at some point Mother Nature cut loose with thunder, lightning, and rain! At 5:30 I have measured 1.4 inches and it is still raining. Heres todays forecast: Today skies will Become partly cloudy in the afternoon, after howers and thunderstorms early this morning...then showers and thunderstorms likely in the morning. We have a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs should be in the lower 90s with east winds 5 mph. Our chance of rain is 90 percent. We also had some very brief power interruptions during the height of the storm. Some areas might still be without electricity. Those rain chances will continue tomorrow and into the weekend. Much needed rain, but it makes driving hazardous, so do be careful if you are on the roads and highways this morning. If you dont have to drive staying home would be a good idea. We are getting ready for Early News at 7 a.m. with Down on the Farm to follow at 7:20. I will have a news summary posted somewhere around 7 a.m., either before or after the top of the hour.
