Well what a turn up for the books a Liberal in Charlestown and dirty money was involved in his downfall. A Liberal in Newcastle and we all know that some dirty money is involved there as his workers were told that so send invoices to a prohibited donor (that is a developer). The Lord Mayor thumbs his nose at the law regarding developers funds involvement in election funding and how much did he spend on his election to the position of Mayor? Did he fund the campaigns of the Liberal Party buddies that he was independent from yet his money flowed straight to the State Liberal Party campaign. Did the support for the blue print for high rise development come from the inducements seen in the campaign dollars? Is the rail truncation to be seen from the perspective of the inducements of the campaign dollars? Is the acceptance of the proposed 90% reduction of council development charges, if the T4 goes ahead, the result of the inducement of campaign funds flowing to the liberal Party. Only a full and independent inquiry will be able to determine the extent of the inducements affection government and council policy decisions.
