Well, what a way to start football season...spent an evening in the Woodward ER. What do you know?! It was an ankle injury...a little history repeating itself. But, hopefully just a bad sprain this time. It has to be immobilized because the x-ray did show a separation, but no displacement. the separation is in the area of the growth plate so it could just be that. It could also just be a vein (cant remember the name of it) showing up as well. No weight bearing and in a brace. Will be re-evaluated by an ortho by the end of next week. If the x-ray shows no movement and no displacement has occurred, he can play again. If there is displacement, that confirms that is was a fracture. Foot is huge this morning, but the pain has gone down. Hes rockin the crutches!
