Well what a weekend , it started not too well all hat blocks finished unsold on eBay . Then Saturday morning a coffee brought by the lovely Julia Barkerand a quick scan of fb and eBay showed one hat button sold . Happy days . A quick trip to wickes to buy some planks for some projects including Kate Cross coat hook rail . A trip to a sports shop saw me come out with three t shirts for a tenner . ( nice ) and then into decathlon and for a fiver a pair of shoes each for me and mrs B to wear in water ! The afternoon saw me impressed and amazed as mrs B and I took to the water in a canoe each , yes petrified of water she paddled on her own down to Islip weir and back . Still proud of her now even though the trip involved several run in ins with reed beds and trees bless her and she cut me up more times on the river than I had been in my bus all week . Bless her . Today saw us walk our sox off around the cla game and country fair , big apology to Robert Seymour for not visiting Myrtle and Jake can we do that another day please ! The result was a small case of drill bits and a bottle of pigs nose whiskey ( lush both the whiskey and the bits ) , a day that gave me some excellent advice on walking stick making and some really usefull ideas for future projects . To finish the weekend a nice dip in the lay z spa on a beautiful warm evening . What could be better ..... Oh yes just found out a second hat block has sold ( get in ) night night my lovelies hope you all had as good a week end . X
