Well what can I say? That was frustrating. Talk about winning the league a little premature being unable to get past a well organised Villa. I cant understand why LVG started Fletcher ahead of Herrera or Fellaini. He is a squad player at best. United had a lot of possession but it looked laboured and disjointed at times. Players either made the wrong pass or kept hold of the ball too long when an easy pass was on. Im glad Falcao got a full game and he looked good. When that ball hit the back of the net he moved quick to celebrate. Somehow I dont think United are taking advantage of his pace. For me Young was the best United player this afternoon. He has come a long way from last season and he caused Lowton no end of problems on the left. Which made it all the more confusing LVG moving him to the right when Wilson came on for Valencia where his crossing deteriorated significantly. Mata did a lot of running around with the ball and its a shame the rest of his team mates didnt make moves in to space for him. Di Maria quick to cut inside but his shots were very weak on goal. Villa hit United on the counter at the death and almost took all 3 points. The 6 game win streak comes to an end but at least we didnt lose. West Ham and Southampton catching up. The Christmas period and New Year is going to be critical for United. After Newcastle H and Tottenham A, United have Stoke A, Southampton H, QPR A, Leicester H, West Ham A, Burnley H, Swansea A, and Sunderland H. Is there any reason United should not be looking at maximum points from these games? Or is that wishful thinking?
