Well what can I say ..once again Ive been bowled over and thoroughly gobsmacked by the art..the artists...and something I wasnt expecting... the diversity of people coming and sharing in the experience...people who have popped in to have a nosey have gone away genuinely moved and added to the art with their own...personal stories or recollections...the artists have all been on a journey to arrive at their pieces but as a viewer many come with little or no knowledge of this...I would like to share these things to try and convey how I am feeling...I do not want art for a few; anymore than education for a few or freedom for a few...William Morris.....Theres something about being naïve.Really interesting things come because you dont know what the rules are,what you can and cant do...Steve Buscemi.....Art is a kind of mining,the artist a variety of prospector searching for the sparkling silver of meaning in the earth....Jane Urqhhart The Underpainter......well I think Portland has struck GOLD....look out for the bunny man ...and tell him what YOU think...and if you cant find a sign of how to get to some installations,,its because Archie the goat at F ancys Farm has eaten them...Toodlepip and happy hunting..Day 58...A Very Public Recovery.
