Well, what can I say, sometimes catching them yourself pales into insignificance! I took my 7 yr old Grandson Khian carping for a few hours this afternoon and it was magical to see his beaming smile as he did battle with the fish. He had eleven runs landing eight of them, all commons to 8lb, magical. The first take was on a light barbel rod with a centre pin that wrapped his knuckles a gooddun. That became my rod as he wouldnt go near it again, great fun! He wasnt too keen to hold them either but by the fifth or sixth fish he was quite happy getting covered in what he called smelly slime! Needless to say I am having to take him again one day next week after school and funnily enough, I cant wait!
