Well what do you know, I have just received a very reliable information which spells good news for government servants. The COLA for government servants would be raised from the present 300 to 400. For teachers there would be a new allowance called the Multimedia Allowance of 150 a month to tide over their use of the internet which teachers have, for many years been silently suffering. All government servants would receive a further 5 percent increase in their salary come this April to offset the expected rise in the cost of living courtesy of the GST. Again good news for teachers. All teachers would be issued a laptop each. I am told that a few more goodies are in the drawing board and smiles would return again to the otherwise gloomy atmosphere currently present in all government offices. You can take this news to the bank as the source is rock solid reliable. It is as solid as the promise to do away with the Sedition Act.
