Well, where do I start? Spent many many nights in The Cyprus over probably a 15 yr spell. Probably the best night of my life was the night of the FA cup final in was it 1993? Worked the Friday night in The Brewers in Fallowfield, blagged a lift to London from a lorry driver regular setting of at 2 am. Got to London, called for my mate Helen Marino and set off for Wembley ticketless. Headed for the Torch at the bottom of Wembley Way. Bumped into Pete Boyle and set off to try and get in. Pleaded with turnstile man who let us both in and saw King Eric score only goal to beat Liverpool. Blagged lift back on Red Issue coach and got back to celebrate in.....The Cyprus! Rather worse for wear but BEST day and night ever!!!
