Well....where to start with my weekend wrap-up..... Had a great day Friday helping Dawn Howards team set up tracks out in the paddocks for the State Tracking Trial... Then swapped the Tracking gear for show (yes, show!) stuff to head to Hamilton over the weekend where I got to catch up with two of the most wonderful people I know - Peter and Susan Hennig...and the kids did me proud...actually thats a bit of an understatement....they blew me away!!! Our first show in 3 months and Hatti Bubba went BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP!!! When handing me the sash our judge said that I looked shocked, I said I am! First show in 3 months - I didnt expect this at all Huxley, at his first shows out of baby, went runner up Best of Breed to Hatti on Saturday, and then beat her on Sunday for the Breed (Hatti was runner up Best of Breed to him)....my spunky little man is now on his way to his conformation title!!! Also got to spend some quality time with the hubby, which included a small detour on the way home from the shows to a lovely winery - Bests at Great Western -thanks Paul Then today I headed back to the State Tracking Trial with Huxley...wondering how hed go back in a harness and tracking line for his Test 5 after playing the part of show dog so well over the weekend....I neednt have worried!! He did a very nice job, and had fun along the way to a pass with a grading of Very Good...thanks Alyson Mills for judging him and appreciating his efforts. Huge thanks also to our tracklayer Joy, steward Rebecca and the rest of the team. After Huxleys track I raced off to the paddocks to help out and do a bit of stewarding, and feel privileged to have watched some very clever dogs working in some very challenging conditions So all in all a fantabulously full weekend me thinks!!!
