Well, yes, if Christians DID believe that God turned one of Noahs - TopicsExpress

Well, yes, if Christians DID believe that God turned one of Noahs sons into a black man to mark him as a slave they would be stupid, because it is a stupid thing to believe. Your argument seems to be that because some yahoo from the deep south, identifying themselves as a Christian, made a profoundly ignorant, bordering on xenophobic, comment, that some other yahoos agreed with, that this is what every Christian believes. It isnt. I would be disgusted to be associated with any body who looks down on another human being for any reason other than said person being a horrible person to begin with (which was the problem with Noahs son not incidentally). As for your argument that the film Noah exposes Christian stupidity: I dont believe any Christians believe that Noah was a pot sniffing homicidal hallucinating junkie who sailed away in a magic boat where no one needed food or water to survive, made by rock monsters, and believed that God wanted him to wipe out the final seed of humanity. There is nothing in the film that reflects any Christian belief, therefore using it as a basis for mocking Christianity is easily the most illogical, willfully ignorant and vacuous thing Ive read on this board today. The film Noah is a straw man erected by an atheistic director, either for his own amusement or some other form of gross self indulgence, and carries no theological or intellectual weight. And good job keeping Jews and Muslims out of the firing line like a typical atheist.
