Well yesterday brought some sad news. Muirneag went to see her neurologist at Glasgow University vet hospital. They are pretty sure she has a nerve sheath tumour on the T1- T2 nerve. They can operate as it is to dangerous, it does not respond to chemotherapy and it is not suitable for radiation. So the only treatment is steroids and painkillers. I asked the prognosis and it is slow growing and it will be around 6-9 months before it will grow into the spinal cord and start to cause severe paralyse. It may be before that point that the leg will be a problem and I would have to decide weither to amputate or not. Hard decision as it will not be long after that she will be totally paralysed. So this time next year she wont be with us. I think I am in shock and denial and cant imagine her not being with me.
