Wells Fargo and Northwest Texas railroad surveyors near what is now the ghost town of Emerson in Cotton county. Emerson has a post office from January 24th, 1908 until November 30th, 1914. I can find little or no information on Emerson other than it existed. I did find mention of an unincorporated community in Cotton county called Emerson Center, but not sure if it is the same place, as well as mention (historical) of an Emerson Mission. Anybody have any info on Emerson?
