Welp, folks shark week is quickly approaching and that means only two things in our house: 1.) Discovery is on 247 & 2.). Our own resident shark like little girl has a birthday! So in honor of our lil princess turning 4 Ill share with you some simple shark tidbits that are similar to Harper :) -Sharks have adapted to living in a wide range of aquatic habitats at various temperatures. While some species inhabit shallow, coastal regions, others live in deep waters, on the ocean floor and in the open ocean. Some species, like the bull shark, are even known to swim in salt, fresh and brackish waters. -Harper Loves water! brackish , salt, open water or even pool water the kid is a fish! She can fall asleep almost anywhere and makes herself at home wherever she goes. We never leave a park without her making 3-4 new friends! -Some shark species, like the great white shark, attack and surprise their prey, usually seals and sea lions, from below. Species that dwell on the ocean floor have developed the ability to bottom-feed. Others attack schooling fish in a feeding frenzy, while large sharks like the whale and basking sharks filter feed by swimming through the ocean with their mouths open wide, filtering large quantities of plankton and krill. - I usually hear Hudson coming a mile away. Harper is stealthy...she approaches almost without warning and can detect when anyone, other than herself, is eating something. She could probably kill you with her hugs, especially in the morning where she smothers you with her hair that is untamable, while you sleep! Ghastly I know! The kid EATS, she will let you know the sec. her belly starts to get wobbly (as she calls a tummy growl). Her favorites are strawberries, cheese sticks and GOLDFISH! So, heres to shark week, my lovely princess Harper and to a happiness she may never know that she has given her mommy and dada! Gosh we love you schnookums!
