Welp, heres my opinion regarding what the Canucks may do this off-season. Theyll buy out David Booth first chance they get. Theyll resign Santorelli, Tanev, and Kassian. And then, theyll have between six and nine million dollars left over to sign free agents. They really need at least two to three players for the top six. There are many questionable free agents to whom the Canucks might only offer one or two year deals, and there are a small handful of free agents to whom the Canucks might offer multi-year contracts. If the Canucks cant sign anybody worthwhile for a decent price, expect them to audition their prospects for top six roles. One or two might stick around next season, but the Canucks would probably prefer to sign free agents who can score. The first half of next season will probably be an evaluation period for the Canucks.
