Welp, time for a pointless 3 A.M. Facebook post thats going to make no difference in anyones life and will most likely waste not only MY time but your time as well (so be prepared if you so choose)... LETS KICK IT: The realization that Ill be leaving to start a new chapter of my life in 8 days has just hit me. A completely new chapter of my life is ending, while a new one is starting. Its kind of hard to let go. In life, you like to think that with each chapter youve made in your life, youve made a difference or lasting memory that is going to prevail over all else. After all, weve all been taught to make our impression on this world. But, the truth is, none of you are going to remember me in 10, 15, 20, 25+ years. Id be naive to think so. I can hope that I made an impression on your lives, and its been one hell of a ride. Some of you will remember that introverted kid who napped under the backpacks in preschool. Some will remember the kid getting his ass beat behind the gym in elementary school, or the kid who kept to himself in middle school. Some will remember that kid who had his head buried in books during freshman year. Some of you will remember the kid who let loose during homecoming and prom. Ive made good memories; Ive made bad ones. I have triumphed; I have failed. Well, thats life. You win some and lose some, and in the end it all comes down if youre happy. And Im damn happy. Im damn happy to know all of you. Every single one of you has contributed to my memories in one way or another, whether its for the better or worse. As you go through life, youre going to make new memories to replace the old ones. So please, forget me. Go fill that space with memories of your new roommates that youre going to meet and be friends with for years. Go fill it with memories of that football game or when you walk for college graduation. Its time we move on with our lives and embrace the new. Sure, life is gonna suck at times. But its going to be pretty great too. Whether we all remember each other or not, Im still pretty damn happy that I had all of you as friends. So some of you Ill see later, some of you I wont. Regardless, good luck out there, and dont let life kick your ass. And if it does, kick back.
