( showing also the great variety of Welsh Quilts ) This is an early patchwork from this years exhibition at The Welsh Quilt Centre Lampeter welshquilts/ Early Welsh Patchwork with Central Mariners Compass 229 x 210 Cotton and linen Hand pieced and quilted Lambs wool filling Patchwork made by Ann Morse in about 1825 who lived at Aberelwyn, Glandwr in Whitland, Carmarthenshire. Medallion Quilt with central mariners compass, and quarter mariners compass in borders Includes some very early fabrics many dating from the 18th century up to 1805 Linen Reverse.
