Wendy Hales Mustang family, a 1966 Fastback and a 1966 convertible. Heres what she wrote... Hello! Im Wendy and I must say Im a Mustang girl and I enjoy your FB page! I thought Id share 2 stories about 2 very special mustangs. The first is a 1966 Mustang convertible that belonged to my parents (now owned by my sister) My mother searched and searched for a convertible mustang for my Dad, Tim, for YEARS! She finally found one sitting in a field in 1980 something. She wrote a note and didnt hear back for a whole year! Long story short it was restored the first time by my Dad. The second time it sat in a shop for 7 years to be restored again by our classic car business we owned. This car is special. It was once owned by Vidal Sassoon, graced the Ford showroom floors in Bakersfield, CA, sat on stage for American Idol, and also was featured in Mustang monthly. The best memory I have is seeing how happy my father was when he drove it. The other car is MY 1966 Mustang Fastback. When I was 16 I fell in love with the fastback! After we opened our shop, my father and I purchased this fastback as a project for Daddy & Daughter. He had already teamed up with my brother in restoring a 1959 Corvette and the previously mentioned convertible was restored with the help of my sister. My Dad wanted to have a project with me! Unfortunately my father passed away in 2007 before we could make this dream come true. My brother in law is now restoring it for me in his honor. Just thought I would share about these family members I hope you enjoy them!!
