Went back to the Summer Palace for a proper tour, where I had time to stroll in the park and circumnavigate the lake by electric boat. Much better than the organized tour. After that I visited a bookstore/cafe called The Bookworm. Supposed to be one of the best here. Alas they dont have many books, the service is poor and the prices on food and drinks are rather rude. So I returned to the hutong and ordered something I thought was pork. Turned out to be tofu. :-) Apologies to any hardcore vegetarians but tofu sucks. Blubbery and no taste. :-P
