Went down my page for the first time since Bob passed looking at some of the things he was writing to me here in our back and forth over my posts. This is one advantage I gained by not living in the same house for the summer, that I have more of his thing recorded for my review and for my carrying on some of his work now that we dont get more to read form him. I will share his word often but am not shifting per se, my life into bringing out of his treasuries older things as a focus but as it fits my work and what I can carry forward of OUR work. The Scepter school is my school now, and ours in a less team oriented way. As joint founder of the work he was invaluable. Some of what he says over many comments, are not things I either fully believe or maybe fully am not fully ready to catch. We had some things we did not agree on. Some of what we interchanged with was a little like scientists in a lab, more than what would serve as accessible ministry for most people, or for sure for novices in the faith. The revelation was thick around us very often, but keep in mind that revelation is when God reveals to you in his timing and his way. You should always take Jesus authority inside you for everything, although you will hear and see things that he will add to you coming form other men, revelation has that way of transforming things into what is useful to you and builds into you in your present and future looking place. We should never believe anything just because we respect the teacher as a brother or even a genius. He has no authority over you, but must if he will build you up, hold open handed thing he offers you for you to gain with. If you were to visit some lab somewhere and listen in, you will catch whatever your foundations allow you to add to your knowledge. The rest, you dont worry about but ideas for paths of exploration you would want to take from that experience. Those scientists would treat a class with you as a student much differently. Of course we would too. For now let me quote something without the full context he wrote me here in early October, when he was still feeling well enough to engage? I did a couple of typo edits to the original - People tend to call leaders Father or Papa because they think the boundaries imposed are the force of love in action and represent a fathers hand in their lives. However, that kind of teaching by way of threat is for the father only, fleshly or heavenly, not a stranger seeking to be the new father, usurping God given position reserved for the one who created the spawn and must face ridicule for the childs actions. God puts the solitary into families but never under a surrogate father. To do so would reverse their being born again as it places them back where they started only being condemned by outside of themselves, rather than interior guilt they enjoyed while separated from God. This is what Jesus meant by your father is the devil. If your father rules by accusation and external laws, it is the wrong father. With the law written in your own heart, when you supersede the law in your heart, submitting it back to external accusation, you willingly become the defendant, rejecting your ability to judge by your internal law book and thus submit to accusation as a father figure. ~Bob Elligott
