Went down the town tonight to see BONAFIDE supported by Bad Touch and Afterlife. Great night. Enjoyed all three bands. Bonafide were very professional with a great sound and great performance. A class rock act. Fill Your Head With Rock isnt my favourite tune of theirs (I like Southern Babe Blues) but it worked well as a finisher tonight. I really enjoyed Afterlife. A nice mix of rock and shouty-grunge type material but without the shout. Singer had a great voice and was really into what he was doing . . . good lyrics from what I understood too. Would like to have heard some harmonies . . . I like harmonies. Bad Touch started the night off really well although I felt the vocals werent quite there with these guys although there were some nice harmonies and backing vocals from the drummer. The night got better as it continued, but my highlight of the night were Afterlife Thanks to Joni Quo-Babe Baxter and Ray for the lift and company from Morpeth. Great to see many of the RRRS crew too. Converted Siân Jenkins to a real friend tonight and nice to meet Mrs T (Mrs JT that is) properly tonight. Very worth going to see all three bands if you get the chance. Watching Jaqui McShee (Pentangle) and a couple of guys singing/playing on the tv as I type. Pleased I was at THINK TANK.
