Went for a ride late last night - in Ringwood Drive - on my daughters bicycle...wearing my church outfit and heels (dont ask). All was going well, but then for no apparent reason, it was getting more and more difficult to pedal...did a quick scan of my surroundings...nope, no South Easter hampering my progress...did a technical check...yup, the bike was in the right gear...nope, the brake blocks didnt scrape against the rims..., so I soldiered on...going slower and slower...experienced an eerie sensation of being pulled to the right...until eventually I came to a dead stop. Perplexed, I decided to get off the bike and inspect the wheels...only to find that I couldnt move, as my skirt (I refer you to Exhibit A) was well and truly stuck in the bikes chain mechanism.......managed to free myself and pedal home...with my skirt now tucked between my knees (not easily done, Ill have you know)...feeling grateful that no one was around at that late hour to witness the spectacle. Which brings me to the reason for this post: Please refer to Exhibit B and C respectively...note the damage done to the ONLY skirt in my closet that still fits me (I blame the long, cold winter for this)...I would be most grateful to anyone who could advise on how to successfully remove bicycle chain oil from 100% cotton...many thanks.
