Went for my normal route jog tonight. Someone has installed a new driveway, motion activated flood light that was tripped by me going by on the sidewalk. I can only assume they somehow got a hold of a second hand lighthouse lamp. It got me more than 20 minutes ago and Im still seeing spots... I believe there is a charred silhouette of my jogging form on the sidewalk. On the route back I deliberately ran on the other side of the street to avoid tripping it. I believe Ill leave them a note tomorrow. It was genuinely unreasonably bright. I might go as far as to say it was unsafe (thinking of potentially blinded drivers). Those who know me understand that I have demonstrated an unusual amount of tolerance in this situation. Certainly a younger me would have, ummm.... disabled the device in the spur of the moment.
