Went into a fast food establishment with 3 friends on our way to a memorial service. There were 3 of us gals and one guy in our group. A man in his mid to late twenties approached our table and asked the fella if he had any change he could spare. He came up with the standard answer...Sorry, I dont. I have to admit that the man asking for change may have been one of the dirtiest folks Ive ever seen. His clothing was filthy and his hair was all matted. I took a few bites of my burger before I got up, went to the counter and ordered a jumbo-size burger with the fries and a large drink. The look on that mans face when I walked up to the table, where he sat with his head in his hands, was priceless!! I put the tray in front of him, said I hoped his day would be blessed and went back to eat my sandwich. I feel strongly that anything we do to be kind to one another is great but I think my level of satisfaction came from giving someone some thing he really needed but could not get for himself. If someones getting coffee at Starbucks, I dont believe Id get that warm all over feeling from buying their double mocha latte with whip cream on top! Just sayin...
