Went out to Waconia yesterday for the vintage gathering, and was again blown away by the amount of people and sleds that show up for this gig! I bet there were 300 trailers out on the ice, and people all over the place on vintage and classic sleds. Its probably on a par with Eagle River or the Soo 500, in terms of snowmobile people being in one place for a winter event. Not a huge turn out of drag sleds, but the spectators were 3 deep along the fence! Id love to have that track set up and layout, with those spectators, at a late-model ice drag race. :) Ran into industry legends Craig Marchbank there, along with Olav Aaen. Nice to chat with both of them, and Olav will be at the World Series again this year which is a bonus! Spent some time with Daniel Cedolia and helped him do some video interviews, so maybe well see some of those clips show up on the net a some point. Also enjoyed hanging out with Tony Kruger, Mare Baker, Brent Kangas, and Steve Boyer. Seems to be some serious interest in getting a couple of good ice drags together near the Twin Cities area, so thats something to look forward to. Ill share a couple of pics later on from Waconia, just some fun, crazy things out there! Now, as promised its SUNDAY FUNDAY!! This is the day to show off your MOD SLEDS!! Lets see some badass lay down hot rod sleds. No trail sleds or bump jumpers in this thread, we want to see some MODS!
