Went to Burger King today to get the 2 sandwich limited time offer special for $5. I told the young lady behind the counter I will have 1 ham and cheese and 1 chicken sandwich. As I was getting ready to order my drink I noticed the menu advertising the $5 special said make it a meal for $6.59. So I said lets make it a meal for $6.59. I figured an extra $1.59 for a drink and fries sounded about right. She then says to me no, its $6.59 more. I said no look, your sign says make it a meal for $6.59. She then went over and correctly pointed out to me the word more. So I said do you mean a meal is $5 for 2 sandwiches and an extra $6.59 for a drink and fries for a total of $11.59? She said yes. After a minute or so of discussing this with her she got the manager and he also pointed out the word more on the menu. So I asked him if I ordered this meal its $11.59 but if I just order the 2 sandwiches and a drink and fries separately the total is around $7. He said correct! I then said, well I dont think I will have the meal today but I will have a drink and fries to go along with the 2 sandwich $5 special! I sure felt stupid that all this had to be throughly explained to me. I hope this saves someone the embarrassment of not having to have the manager explain the difference between a meal and not a meal!
